The Founding Story
I’ve known for a long time that I wanted to be an entrepreneur. When I was younger, I was always interested in business and started several businesses before I turned 16. However, many of my friends weren’t so clear about what they wanted to do when they became adults. Suddenly, stress and confusion clouded course selection and long-range planning and there was plenty of pressure on everyone to make decisions they weren’t quite sure how to make. I saw the pain and stress everywhere I looked and the traditional guidance outlets were not helping.
Many parents also tried to help, but felt equally unprepared to offer expert guidance for such a critical step in their child’s life. Often, parents’ advice tended toward programs and careers they deemed financially or socially desirable without any indication of whether their kids were well suited for them.
I consulted with career experts who had been leveraging heavily validated predictive science to help companies and employers match the right people with the right jobs.
PhDs and other career experts were eager to contribute the necessary input that would create a scientific assessment to guide high school students toward a happy and fulfilling career path.
